Anorexia is one of the most terrible illnesses and one of the few to receive due attention. For some years, the numbers have increased and with that the people whose heart has ceased to hit the expense of a society that imposed false stereotypes. But it's not just anorexia, there are other eating disorders such as bulimia, which are attacks of extreme voracity, where vomiting and manorrhaging are self-provoking, which is the disorder that men suffer and which involves a lot of sports among others.

According to data from the Ministry of Health in Colombia between 2009 and 2017, people between 0 and 19 years old were treated with anorexia diagnosis, with an average of 4,322 patients treated per year, where 60.8% of these data are women, that is really alarming, because very few people are aware of the magnitude of the problems that these diseases lead; It should be noted that the youngest are under age.

In Mexico, 20,000 new cases of bulimia and anorexia among adolescents are documented every year, which has led to an increase of 300% in the last 20 years, according to the established by the newspaper Excelsior, in addition The National Institute of Psychiatry showed that 10% of young people with anorexia and 17% with bulimia attempted suicide, while only 25% received specialized treatment.

In Buenos Aires-Argentina, there is the center of Ceda, where they offer interdisciplinary, personalized and ambulatory care, focused on treatments for bulimia, anorexia and any other type of eating disorder; There they have a team of field specialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, family therapists and nutritionists who work for these disorders, since there is an erroneous idea of calling these "whimsical" diseases when they are really specialized in eating lives of innocent people affected by the measures What society defines as beauty.

The number of people suffering from these diseases is increasing and it has consequences such as depression, suicide and anxiety. Bullying, bullying and ridicule for physical appearance and personality, are also a boom to develop this type of disorder, today there are many children, young adults and adults struggling to overcome this "whim".
