We have been moving for a few days in terms of falls in popular services. If a couple of days ago it was Outlook (the old Hotmail) that hurt its users, now is the turn of the most popular messaging application. For a few minutes WhatsApp has begun to fail and its decline is reflecting on both Twitter and measurement tools such as Downdetector. The problem seems to affect the connection when opening the application or using WhatsApp Web and sending and receiving messages. In addition, everything indicates that it is not an exclusive fall of Spain, since they also detect problems in other areas such as the United Kingdom.

The fact is that it is not the first drop that WhatsApp has suffered in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the service also suffered problems for several hours and left many users unable to access the application. In this case, problems get worse when you uninstall the application and try again to register the phone number with an error message that was repeated constantly.
According to the live map of the failures of Downdetector, the problems of the service are quite widespread between Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, Argentina and even Brazil. We must take into account the past in Spain, which would explain that there are not so many users reporting problems in the peninsula.
Notice to the community: #Whatsapp it's down ? Weird that the messages can be sent and not audios … Those who hate the audios should be happy ?

Twitter users also started reacting to the application's failures. Some indicate that the service does not work directly, but there are others that also explain that the problems come when sending audio instead of messages. Does it also take a few hours to fix the problem or will it be faster for the service to work for all users?
