Huawei is preparing its official return to the Brazilian smartphone market for the month of May. And nothing to bring in incoming devices or even cheap intermediaries: the company promises to come with everything, bringing the P30 line – for now, only the P30 Pro is confirmed.
And the TodoCelular received from the company the most advanced model to prove it. It is true, we are with Huawei P30 Pro in the bank, and we start with our traditional battery test, then we bring our full review, explaining how it is the experience of using the device.
We discovered how long it took to spend the total battery of 4,200mAh of this smartphone, which has a 6.47-inch OLED screen and uses a proprietary Huawei platform, the HiSilicon Kirin 980. Mate 20 Pro has a great brand in spite of bringing a screen smaller

How the test works
We measure consumption with the help of the GSam battery monitor application, as well as the default option in the system configuration, looking to set the usage time and screen, as well as details such as temperature and applications that most consume the load. Here is the list, with the respective hours of use:
- 6 minutes of use (each): WhatsApp, YouTube, MX Player, Spotify, PowerAmp (offline music) and Chrome;
- 1 minute (each) – Pokémon Go, Asphalt 8, Subway Surfers, Candy Crush, Modern Combat 5 and Injustice;
- 4 minutes of 3G / 4G calls;
- 2 minutes of use (each) – Facebook, Gmail and GMaps
After a day and a half of tests with the P30 Pro, we obtained the following results:
- It took 22 hours and 39 minutes for the device to stop.
- The screen remained for 12 hours and 38 minutes.
- We complete 16 full test cycles, including:
- 96 minutes of browsing in Chrome;
- 480 minutes of WhatsApp, Spotify, PowerAmp, MX Player and YouTube (96 minutes each);
- 96 minutes of games (Pokémon Go, Subway Surfers, Candy Crush, Injustice, Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8);
- 96 minutes of Facebook, Gmail and Google Maps (32 minutes each);
- 64 minutes of voice calls over 3G / 4G;
- The most consumed app was YouTube;
- The least consumed application was WhatsApp;
- The temperature was between 27 ° and 33 ° C
- Total consumption was around 4.3% per hour
- Reload from 0% to 100% took 59 minutes with the standard charger that comes in the box.
The P30 Pro took the lead in the autonomy in the ranking of TodoCelular, when we consider only the first-line devices. The OnePlus 6T came close to 20:00, while Mate 20 Pro stayed a bit lower, followed closely by the Galaxy S10 Plus.
The good news is that manufacturers are investing more in battery, as well as optimizing the energy consumption of their devices. That is, we should see boats with more time away from taking it from here on.
Another good news is the time to recharge the P30 Pro. With the impressive 40W charger, the device took less than an hour to charge from 0% to 100%. In addition to being away long time from the current outlet, it still takes little to recover the power.
Do not focus
Thanks to you who accompanied and enjoyed the battery test. We will soon have the review on the channel. And follow Cell Todo en Instagram that we will publish some photos taken with the P30 Pro soon. Until next time.
Anyway, a great result achieved by the P30 Pro. At the end of the day update the agenda with consolidated time and reload. Now I apologize, but I have to resolve some personal issues.
After passing the screenshots to the laptop, I disconnected the cable and, even with 2%, a message appeared that the phone was low and shut down in 30 seconds. In fact, it happened.
Here are the catches. There were almost 1240 minutes of test in total, keeping the almost 12:40 minutes on screen. Average consumption of 4.3% / h.
In any case, we already have more than 22 hours of use, with more than 12 hours and a half of active screen.
We are at the end of the test. There is not enough battery for another full cycle, but we will still see how far the P30 Pro is going until it goes out completely.
The P30 Pro reached the 14th overall cycle and gives signs that it will not only exceed the OnePlus 6T in autonomy, but will also maintain a good distance.
Thirteen complete cycles and we still have a 24% charge here at P30 Pro. It's already 18 hours and everything indicates that we will have a new leader in autonomy between the flagships.
And we will continue with the P30 Pro battery test, which has everything to be the oldest flagship that has already been proven here in TodoCelular.
Let's stop the test for today. 31% of the load is still missing. The test will restart tomorrow, at 7:00. Until then, it will be off. Hugs and more.
12/4/2019 – 22.42

12/4/2019 – 22.14
And with 11 complete cycles, we still have a load of 38%. The consumption in each cycle already seems a little bigger, with 4.1% of the load passed every hour. Until the fifth cycle, consumption was 3.8% per hour.

12/4/2019 – 15:35
At the end of the sixth cycle, we have already modified the seventh, as advanced, because of the longest break after cycle 5.
12/4/2019 – 14.39

12/4/2019 – 12.15
He has completed four complete cycles, the battery is still at 81%. P30 Pro is showing a good rank. It was expected not only to overtake the Galaxy S10 Plus, such as the Mate 20 Pro. And, who knows, even the OnePLus 6T, a leader among the flagship of our ranking.
12/4/2019 – 10:48
The P30 Pro is showing even more autonomy than Mate 20 Pro, with 87% after three cycles, 4% more than the other Huawei flagship.
