Norwegian midfielder Brann, Deyver Vega, the friendly game of Costa Rica in front of Chile on November 16 and against Peru Four days later, the Costa Rican Football Federation (Fedefútbol) announced on Monday.
The midfielder was left out of the team's preparation duels after suffering a muscle tear during his club's game this weekend, the source said.
The place of the injured will take local midfielder Carmelita Suhander Zúñiga, who receives the first call to the selection in his career.
"Continuing with the characteristic that we are looking for is called Suhander, who is new and has a smaller selection process and good projection for what we want to show to new coach Gustavo Matosas," said interim coach Ronald Gonzalez.
The matches against Chile and Peru will be the last ones in Costa Rica before the new coach, the Uruguayan Gustavo Matosas, who will take office in January.
The Central Americans will visit the Peruvian selection next Tuesday, November 20 at the Monumental UNSA, where both teams will play the latest date of the FIFA of the year.
