The dollar rose against the pound in four banks between 4 piers and 4 piasters until the end of Thursday, compared to tomorrow, while the price was settled in seven other banks.
The Channel of Suez raised the price of the dollar to EGP 17.62 for the purchase and EGP 17.72 for sale, compared with the EGP 17.60 for the purchase and EGP 17.70 for sale.
The Bank of Alexandria also raised the price of the United States currency to 17.60 pounds per purchase and 16.70 pounds for sale against 17.58 pounds per purchase and 17.68 pounds for sale.
Al Baraka Bank of Egypt raised the price of the dollar for about 4 piasters, taxing 17,625 pounds to buy and 17.72 pounds for sale, compared to 17.58 pounds per purchase and 17.68 pounds for sale.
ADIB raised the price of the dollar for 3 piastres for EGP 17.63 to buy and EGP 17.73 for sale, compared to EGP 17.60 for purchase and EGP 17.70 for sale.
While the dollar exchange rate stabilized at Ahli Egypt, Egypt, Commercial International, African Arab, Cairo, Housing and Construction, and Credit Agricole at EGP 17.60 for purchase and EGP 17.70 for sale.
The dollar rose about two cents in a series of banks during yesterday's trading after a sudden fall against the pound on Sunday and Monday in banks, within the range of 27 plunders, for the first time in months, where Sunday recorded a daily decline the largest in almost two years.
