The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is marking the successful end of the five-year $ 20 million in Strengthening the Ethiopian Urban Health Program in a special closing act. Over the past five years, USAID's Urban Health Promotion Program has trained 2,500 urban health extension workers to help improve the quality of health services to 2.5 million homes in 50 cities and towns in the country. The Minister of Health, Dr. Amir Aman, and Alicia Dinerstein, the UN's interim mission director, should submit observations to highlight this latest framework in the collaboration between the United States and Ethiopia.
