Xbox One: mouse and keyboard support for 15 titles announced

In October, Microsoft released a firmware that extended the game console to include support for the mouse and the keyboard. As of next week, the first games will support this feature. A total of eight Xbox games with mouse and keyboard can be played back in late November.

This was announced by Redmond at the Xbox event "X018". One of the first games that you play with a mouse and keyboard is the Fortnite by Epic Games shooter. Already in three days, an update will be available for Fortnite and Warframe. According to Polygon will continue in November among others Bomber Crew, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense. Other seven titles, including DayZ, Moonlighter and Wargroove, will be more advanced with support for mouse and keyboard.

Fortnite players compete against PC players

To avoid unjust playing situations, all Xbox players with drivers are separated from players using the mouse and the keyboard at Fortnite. In this way, Xbox owners could compete so far only against other players on the console. This will change from next week on: If you play with the mouse and keyboard on your Xbox One, you will face Xbox players with the same settings or even PC players in the future.

In addition, Microsoft announced a cooperation with the hardware manufacturer Razer. The two companies want to develop several wireless mice and keyboards specially designed for the Xbox One.

Basically, the developers of the games are free, they are already integrators of support for mouse and keyboard in their own games. However, so that most of the console owners are not at a disadvantage, the game should not be completely replaced.
