Jakarta (ANTARA News) – Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Obsidian Entertainment and InXile Entertainment. This was reported by IGN on Sunday.
Obsidian Entertainment is known as a RPG game developer like "Fallout: New Vegas", "South Park: The Stick of Truth", the series "The Pillars of Eternity" and "Star Wars: Knights of Ancient Republic 2".
Although InXile is also known for developing several RPG genres such as "Wasteland 2", "Torment: Tides of Numenera", "Bard's Tales IV" and the next game "Wasteland 3".
The announcement further strengthens the list of game development teams acquired. Currently Microsoft has 13 game developers, after Microsoft announced this year that it would acquire Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games and Playground Games.
In addition, Microsoft indicated that he was interested in acquiring more game development.
Microsoft will also open a new study in Santa Monica, California, called The Initiative, where it recruits highly talented talent from the entire gaming industry.
