Professor Ugo De Giorgi has already pursued important goals as head of the gynecology anthology of the Tumors Institute of Romagna Irst Irccs and is now qualified for academic teaching as an ordinary professor.
The result of the competition by Miur Accreditation in the field of the competition "Blood diseases, oncology and rheumatology" has been known in recent days and De Giorgi has been distinguished by the scientific qualification in titles and publications.
De Giorgi is an excellence in the treatment of uro-gynecological tumors and in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in solid tumors, he is a member of important scientific societies such as the Italian Society of Oncology (Aiom) and European (Esmo) and is part of the Group's Board Italian of Germline Tumors (Igg) of which also it carries out the position of Secretary. Author of more than 200 publications in the most important international scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet, has more than 100 presentations in national and international conferences.
In his career he has won important international awards and has been coordinator of various studies in collaboration with European and American centers. The main areas of interest are the study of innovative medications and immunotherapy in urological and gynecological tumors. He recently works with precision medicine, also called "personalized medicine", thanks to this, through genetic tests based on blood analysis.
