Harley-Davidson revealed details of his first electric motorcycle, LiveWire

The history of the LiveWire motorcycle began with the presentation of the prototype in 2014. It reflected the vision and potential of the Harley-Davidson electric vehicle. After prolonged testing and intensive development, Harley-Davidson LiveWire can provide new and powerful experiences for motorcyclists. The motorcycle is powered by an electric motor and, therefore, has an impressive acceleration. Just activate the accelerator, because it has no clutch or gear. The low center of gravity, a sturdy aluminum frame and a high quality adjustable suspension give LiveWire an exceptional dynamic. Their power distance and ride are tailor made for urban bikers.

LiveWire is powered by an electric motor with a permanent magnet that obtains a maximum torque when the throttle lights up. The engine is mounted low, creating a low center of gravity. Therefore, the motorcycle is well controlled at various speeds and is easy to control while it is stopped. LiveWire emits a sound that extends when motorcycle rides. Reflect the simple power output.

The engine dynamics are complemented by a chassis. It is designed to provide driving and control objectives on the streets of the city and the roundabouts. The engine is one of the components of the aluminum frame, which makes the design LiveWire extremely robust. In addition, the motorcycle is equipped with the fully adjustable, high quality Showa suspension. The rear part is a shock absorber SHOWA BFRC-lite and SHOWA SFF-BP on the front. The latter allows you to adapt to the dynamics of the rear shock absorber and works very well at low speeds. Combination and ideal control in typical urban situations.

The front of the LiveWire is equipped with Brembo Monoblock brakes with 300 mm double disks. Motorcycle braking is accurate and safe. These senses are improved by Brake Assist (ABS) and Traction Control (TCS). The systems are already available in the standard LiveWire equipment, along with the Michelin Scorcher tires (180 mm wide and rear rear of 120 mm). A rider can choose dynamic LiveWire functions from 7 driving modes. 4 has already been developed by the manufacturer and 3 can be customized to meet your needs.

The colorful and touch-sensitive screen is mounted on the steering wheel and clearly transmits the most important information. The adjustable height allows the rider to choose the most comfortable position. On the touch sensitive screen you can control Bluetooth, navigation, music and other settings.

The mainstream LiveWire lithium battery is protected by a used aluminum box. The motorcycle also has a smaller 12 volt lithium ion battery that provides power for light, signal, screen and other functions. Charging the motorcycle is possible with the first level charger only from the domestic power outlet. It also operates second and third fast charging systems with the SAE J1772 connection to the US market or the CCS2-IEC connection to the international market. All LiveWire motorcycles from Harley-Davidson dealerships will have a public freight station.

The LiveWire style reflects its power and the central element of the Harley-Davidson design, focusing on the engine. As the V-Twin engine is like the most beautiful precious stone in the Harley-Davidson crown, LiveWire is the first to take its look at its engine. Its mechanical and muscular appearance informs about the power of the motorcycle. In addition, the aluminum battery box is stylized with cooling plates. The frame is painted with special technology and, therefore, resembles the anodized metal. The silhouette is formed by a line that extends from the battery, which extends to the back of the waistline. Meanwhile, the wing is so close to the steering wheel that it is almost not visible.

The new Harley-Davidson LiveWire will be available next year, with more details and prior requests in January 2019.
