The Isle of Man TT Festival is among the most famous motorsport festivals in the world. Each year, more than two weeks ago, 30 million fans tune in to see the top bikers try their talent at the incredible "Mountain Course." But you do not have to be on two wheels to take the best of the mountain road: one of the best driving roads in Europe.
For the latest in the Ford series that exhibits hidden gems for pilots and travelers, journalist Steve Sutcliffe was behind the wheel of the Ford Mustang Bullitt, on the island where many roads are not restricted by speed limits. (Although there are still laws against careless and dangerous driving).

"Imagine German autobahns, add hills and twists, and tie them on a single road with incredible views and what you have are all these spectacular and dramatic roads," said Sutcliffe. "The Mountain Road feels – and is – a totally dramatic place to drive. It is epic and quite different from any other place"
The mountain itself is said to be unique as the only place where you can see the four countries that make up the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. And regardless of the opportunity to drive fast, it is worthwhile to slow down and enjoy the amazing scenery, as well as local hospitality.
"Food and drink are excellent, almost everywhere on the island," said Sutcliffe. "You can go there for the joy of driving one of the most famous ways in Europe, but it is people, food and the stage that will make up your sadness of getting the ferry."
This is the ninth movie of the series that included everything from a Ford GT supercar through the impressive Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway, to a St Party in the practically empty Via Campocatino, in Italy. Classification of factors that include the emotion factor, food and the surface of the road, Mountain Road has reached the highest score in the series to date.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary movie Warner Bros. With the same name, the new special edition Ford Mustang Bullitt is available to be ordered throughout Europe, powered by an improved version of the 5.0-liter Ford V8 engine that offers 460 PS and 529 Nm of torque.
