Awareness-raising workshop on the requirements of WTO notifications



The Ministry of Commerce and Investments held a workshop in collaboration with the World Trade Organization Training Institute (WTO) on "Notification requirements" at the Ministry headquarters.
The workshop aims to sensitize the employees of the government agencies of the Kingdom to prepare notifications properly and comply with the obligations of the Kingdom in this regard.
During the workshop, experts from the World Trade Organization (WTO) addressed the notification requirements of various WTO agreements. Several officials also participated in the preparation of the notifications of several government agencies.
The undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Investment for Foreign Trade, Abdul Rahman Al-Harbi, underlined the importance of such workshops to maximize the benefit of technical assistance provided by international organizations for construction
Capacity at the national level.
The WTO member states are required to send regular notifications to the WTO in accordance with the specific regulations, in order to ensure transparency in intra-State trade.
