After five years, the famous group of Brazilian dance Group Corpo returns to the great stage of Cankarjev Dom. Within the framework of the 7 Mysterious series, they will perform dance at 7:30 p.m. at night Dance symphony in Rotation. Artistic leader and founder of the group Paulo Pederneiras It is Dance symphony which will be launched in 2015 on the 40th anniversary of the Group's operations. His brother, choreographer Rodrigo Pederneiras, it's with the music of the composer Marc Antônia Guimarães, written specifically for the band, combined the best choreographies of the repertoire of 40 years and created a synthesis of choreographic elements that have become the trademark of the band.
The stage of the performance is elaborated by a gigantic scene, made up of thousands of photographs of personal files by artists and other creators who have cooperated with the band in the last forty years or have influenced their line of development. Choreography Rotation (in the photo), along with the music of the Brazilian fusion group Metá Metá, explores African cults, the inheritance of the tribal religions of the ancient black slaves. In 1975, Grupo Corpo was formed by Paulo Pederneiras in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte. His debut María María, created under the brain direction Oscar Araiza, has remained on stage for six years. In 1981, the choreography was taken over by his former dancer Rodrigo Pederneiras.
With him, the band made the second success in 1985 Preludes, the theatrical work with twenty four preludes of Chopin. In the following years, the band began to combine classical technique with modern performances of popular forms of Brazilian dance, based on the musical pieces of Richard Strauss, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Edward Elgar. The radical transformation was achieved through production 21, a ballet that confirmed the uniqueness of the choreography of Rodrigo Pederneiras and the recognizable identity of the dance group.
