On November 1, 2018, USS John P. Murtha regained the trial version of the Orion capsule at sunrise in the Pacific Ocean.

The Underway Recovery Test-7 (URT-7) is one of the evidence that the Exploration Ground Systems Recovery Team, together with the US Navy, is performing to validate the procedures and hardware that will be used to recover the Orion ship later. Splash after deep missions of space exploration.

Orion will have the ability to support the crew during space travel, provide a safe entry of deep space return speeds and emergency abortion.
