The ministry added that the space control center of the Russian Aerospace Force had included information about Fregat and Glonass-M in the main catalog of objects in the Russian space control system.
The catalog is a unified database of all artificial objects in space located at heights of 120 kilometers to 50,000 kilometers (74.6-31.068 miles). It contains information on 1,500 parameters of each object, including its international identification numbers, launch date and location, type, purpose, mass and size. More than 60,000 measurements are done every day to update the catalog.
Glonass is operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces. The system allows the real-time positioning and speed data for surface, maritime and air objects throughout the world.
