Paris, November 13 (EFE) .- Three people were arrested Tuesday in Paris in the framework of the judicial investigation opened last month for an alleged attempt to extort after the claim of a football intermediary who accused members of the Real Player's environment Mdrid Karim Benzema of an attempted kidnapping.
Judicial sources have confirmed to Efe the imprisonment of these three suspects, according to the weekly "Le Point", they are two men and a woman who the police wanted to face the complainant, Léo D 'Souza, who said that he escaped an attempt to Abduction last October 8 in the French capital.
According to his testimony, a person linked to Benzema tried to place him in a van to demand explanations about 50,000 euros that the soccer player had given to Souza to transport them from Morocco to France.
Souza argues that the money, which came from a sponsor of the French player in Morocco, was confiscated by the police officers at the airport in Marrakech and points out that the Benzema circle did not believe him and claimed it.
When this matter was made public in mid-October, the lawyer of Real Madrid, Sylvain Cormier, explained that he filed a complaint of breach of trust and announced that he would formalize another for slanderous accusation. EFE
